*clean*clean*clean*

I think the most relaxing thing about blacking and leather care, is once you're good at it, you can just sorta slip into a trance where your fingers know where they are and what they need next. If you've got everything you need around you, there's no reason to stop.

I sat down for a bit last night in front of the TV to clean a friends leathers. I swear I started and thought I would maybe get half way through and have to stop cause it's a bit of a large project. I took my time clipping loose threads (usually I burn them, but there's too much attached that would torch up just as easy that I thought it better to just snip instead) and then started in with a few clean rags to one side and the soft happy brush and the soap on my other.

Before I knew it, the whole thing was done. I just fell into a rhythm where I'd almost swear that the work was doing itself.

I love that.
